If your network has stopped working or you are experiencing issues after a recent update, try uninstalling the network adapter and restarting your computer. After restarting, Windows will automatically install the latest native driver.
Before uninstalling, make sure you have the latest manufacturer drivers available. Visit the PC manufacturer's website and download the latest network adapter driver. If your PC can't connect to the internet, you'll need to download a driver on a different PC and save it to a USB flash drive so you can install the driver on your PC. You'll need to know the PC manufacturer and model name or number.
To Uninstall a Network Adapter Driver in Windows 10:
1. Click the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen, and type Device Manager into the Search bar.
2. The Device Manager should appear. Locate the Network Adapter drop-down, and choose the adapter you wish to uninstall.
** In the screenshots below, replace it with the name of your WiFi adapter.
3. Right-click the network adapter, and click Uninstall.
4. Ensure you have ticked the box next to "Delete the driver software for this device". Click "Uninstall" when prompted to uninstall the device. This will remove the adapter from the list and uninstall the driver.
5. After it is finished uninstalling the driver, restart your computer.
